Bellabox August 2018 | First Impressions

It’s been a while, I hope you are all happy and living your best lives!

This year I made no promises, I wanted to blog more but unfortunately I have not been able to commit as much as I’d have liked. There will be some big things happening in the next few months which will be revealed soon, however now just isn’t the right time. It’s verrrrrrry exciting!!!

Today I have written a post about the newest Bellabox for August and I am so excited because it has been a whole year since my last Bellabox ‘haul’. I hope you enjoy!…

If you haven’t heard of Bellabox before it is a monthly beauty subscription box including 5 samples (sometimes full size and extras) of different beauty products to try out.

Visit for more information.

You can check out my previous Bellabox boxes that I have blogged about here;

March 2017

August 2017

This months products:

This months box is themed around ‘Beauty Reset’, the warmer weather isn’t too far away in Australia which means now is a perfect time to revitalise and re-energise your skin and prep it for the sweaty heat! My skin is a combination of oily and dry and I’m not having a good time with it lately. So I am in deeeesperate need of a skin revamp! Perfect timing Bellabox!

– Sand & Sky Australian Pink Clay Flash Protection Exfoliating Treatment –

Previously in my August 2017 post I received a blue tube of the pink clay fast mask – and I absolutely loved it! When I saw this was part of this months collection I instantly got excited to try it! This is a 5 minute treatment that helps to resurface the skin which is great to help refresh your skin ready for your summer tan! It absorbs all excess oil which helps to avoid the unwanted shine on your face and gives you healthy glowing skin instead. I can’t wait to use this!

100ml RRP: $59.99

– Mellow Cosmetics Precision Liquid Pen Eyeliner –

I’m not normally an eyeliner kinda gal, purely because I suck at putting it on. If, IF I ever use eyeliner it is usually a pencil liner that I’ve had for years probably from a magazine, it’s not something I often buy because I don’t use it often enough. When I saw this eyeliner in the box I wasn’t jumping for joy. Don’t get me wrong, I love eyeliner and people who know how to do it look amazing! I’m just not one of those people (you can all laugh) but I try, sometimes.

This eyeliner looks like a felt tip pen or a permanent marker and it scares me haha. I’ve been practising on the back of my hand by drawing different lines, and it seems easy to control. When I have time to experiment I will definitely try it out. It dries really quickly which is fab because that means it won’t smudge!!

1.8g RRP: $22.50

– Coco & Eve Like A Virgin Super Nourishing Coconut & Fig Hair Masque –

This masque smells deeeee-licious! That kinda holiday, fresh salon do kinda smell! Hair masks are a once a month thing for me, if even that much. Because I have such thick hair I have to use so much product in it. My go to hair remedy is a big handful of conditioner left on my hair for the best part of 15 minutes, then I brush through it until all the knots and bumps are out. That’s why I love this beauty box, it allows me to try things I wouldn’t normally buy. Although I might have to use this on the ends of my hair because it won’t cover my full head but I’ll be able to see the benefits hopefully!

The packaging is also very lovely, it makes we want to use it even more when it looks good in the cupboard! Is anyone else like that, or just me?! This 10 minute treatment is on the higher priced side, but to use every now and then as a treat would make it worthwhile.

212ml RRP: $64.90

– La Roche-Posay Toleriane Caring Wash –

La Roche-Posay is a brand I have used before, and it’s a brand I trust. I have used their bio oil and it is just amazing. The smells aren’t over powering, they aim to make products that work and are beneficial to its purpose. This face cleanser is super light and easy to wipe across your face evenly. The liquid is transparent which allows you to see the dirt and old makeup come straight off your face. I love products that work from the first use and this definitely helps to soothe and refresh your skin. Perfect for irritative and sensitive skin, it also benefits normal to very dry skin!

200ml RRP: $26.95

– Canvas Beauty Overnight Intense Moisture Mask –

Intense moisturisers make me so happy, it is always a good thing when you are having a complete face detox and treating your skin to new products. As I said before my skin is a combination of oily and dry and during summer it changes all the time. When I have been in the sun too long and my face feels dried out, I moisturise 24/7 so that my skin doesn’t peel and I keep my tan as long as possible. Overnight moisturising face masks are amazing at keeping your skin refreshed until the morning.

It helps your skin take a break from makeup and allows all the goodness to be absorbed. This mask in particular sounds amazing as it promises long-lasting nourishment which is essential for skin like mine. Rose Otto helps to improve your skins softness and rejuvenate your complexion. Rose isn’t one of my favourite scents and this product has quite a strong smell, however I will give it a go as it sounds exciting. I tried this on the back of one of my hands and its was instantly softer. This may become a favourite after an evening bubble bath!

50ml RRP: $79.00

– Revlon Youth FX Fill + Blur Primer for Face/Neck –

I don’t have and lines or wrinkles on my face just yet although I do always squint my eyes in the sun so I won’t be long until I do! However primers are amazing for using as a base under your foundation and concealer, it helps to blend it on to your skin easier. It allows your skin to absorb good ingredients in before heavy makeup. It is suitable for all skin tones and is really light which means your face won’t have that heavy thick feeling with all the other products on top. Personally, I would use first thing in the morning, let it sit for at least 10-15 minutes before applying foundation. That way you will get the most out of the product, and feel really refreshed without feeling oily.

100ml RRP: $29.95

– My Fave Product This Month

It’s joint!! I have loved Sand & Sky for a while as I’ve loved their previous products but I’m so excited to use the Canvas mask as it’s a new brand that I haven’t heard of before. So they are both on my list this month, I can’t wait to see next month… we were given a sneak peek of what is coming next month but I’ll wait til then let you know!

Do any of these products sound good to you? Which one would be top of your list to try? Let me know in the comments which ones you’d like to try or if you have tried any of them before. I’d love to know what you think!

Love, Abby x

    1. Thanks so much! There’s sooo many different boxes all over the world now! I find Instagram is a good way to see what’s out there! I’ve just received my last box as I’m moving country so I can’t stay with this box. I think once I’ve moved and settled I will try and find a new one!😍 Definitely look into it, it’s a cute little gift to your self! You can get toddler and baby ones too! 💖 Thanks Mary xxx
