A Festive Weekend With Friends | Blogmas Day 8

Sometimes, all a girl needs is her best friend. And that’s exactly what I needed this weekend!

Robert and I drove down to Poole to see our best friends to enjoy a cosy, chilled, Christmassy weekend. We’d had this planned for quite a while so we were extremely excited for it! I definitely needed this weekend, it’s made me feel so happy and content, we’ve had so much fun, so I thought I’d share with you some of the pictures I took and tell you what we got up to… just incase you want to visit Dorset or Bournemouth this Christmas!

We are journey from Brandon to Poole with a delicious McDonald’s breakfast… yum! Then headed straight down! Once we’d arrived we decided on our plan – visit the Christmas markets in Bournemouth and walk through the Christmas tree wonderland, get a drink somewhere and have some dinner!

At Christmas time, one of my ultimate favourite things to do is look around for Christmas lights. Luckily, Bournemouth centre was filled with festive trees and lights all scattered round. The Christmas tree wonderland was a place of dreams, so many amazing decorated Christmas trees. The biggest tree lit up in so many different colours and patterns and played Christmas songs in a light show, that was really fun to stand and watch. Of course I was singing along wearing my Santa hat, embracing the festive vibes… I’m such a kid at Christmas time!

On Sunday we enjoyed a lovely, chilled morning and the drove into Poole for a walk along the Quay to see the sights and stop for a Hot chocolate. We were so lucky with the weather, just as we got back to the car the heavens opened and the rain came down, along with hail! After having a stroll around Poole, Casey and Pete treated us to a home cooked roast dinner, as a sort of pre-Christmas meal together. A roast is definitely the way to my heart, it was thoroughly enjoyed by us and was the perfect end to a lovely weekend!

Thank you SO much to Casey and Pete for having us, and treating us to a wonderful, festive weekend in Dorset and Bournemouth. We have had the most wonderful time and can’t wait to see you again!

I really hope you have enjoyed reading about our weekend and seeing the pictures we’ve taken! Have you been to Bournemouth or Dorset before? I’d definitely recommend it for a weekend away! I can’t wait to visit in the summer months!

Love, Abby x
